When purchasing different types of tarpaulin for your unique needs,
it is imperative to choose the right size, grade and type depending on the
environment you are utilising it in and what you need to protect or cover from
the elements. When it comes to choosing the right size, one
needs to really consider different factors including the nuances of the dimensional
aspects. As tarpaulins are
two-dimensional in nature, (length x width), you will need to factor in
additional product specifications if you are using a tarp to cover a
three-dimensional object, which means all dimensions must be measured and
totalled to determine the size of tarp you need. It is also important to note that the sizes
stated refers to the cut size of the sheet, which is the industry-standard
terminology to indicate the size of the fabric before it is seamed, hemmed, and
eyeleted. This ultimately means that finished
sizes of a tarpaulin can be up to 30cms shorter and could lead to a shortfall
if not measured with this in mind. To choose a size that works for you, you take
the measurements yourself, then speak to us before you buy. We will be happy to suggest a size and type of

Tarpaulins to protect them from the elements when working outside, as they do
not block out light whilst keeping the working area dry. These high-quality
clear Tarp products are also popular for animal enclosures such as rabbit

We also have a selection of Lightweight, Mid-range and Heavy Duty
Tarps to suit all needs. Our Green 80gsm Economy Tarpaulins are a lightweight,
easy to handle range, widely used as temporary waterproof covers for
applications in the residential and commercial settings including camping
groundsheets, wood stack covers, building site covers, sandpit covers, garden
furniture covers, pallet covers, and salt stack covers. These come with 12mm aluminium eyelets at
metre intervals in rope reinforced hems and remain flexible even in sub-zero
temperatures. With an 8 x 8 weave count, these poly tarps are UV protected, rot
proof and shrink proof.
Our 140gsm is a popular and versatile tarpaulin for a huge number of uses, as is our multi-purpose mid-grade polyethylene, which can be used for industrial purposes, camping groundsheets, roofing, construction, and agriculture. This range is also particularly popular as a temporary cover over hay and straw, as it comes fully fabricated with aluminium eyelets at metre intervals.
Our polyethylene sheets are for use where a sturdier tarpaulin may
be required, and have sturdy reinforced corner patches, and eyelets at 50cm
intervals. We also have a range of over 70 different Tarpaulin products
